Abstract: The bottleneck problems in the traditional medium and small product-type enterprises are analyzed. A kind of medium and small product-type enterprises oriented CIMS architecture is presented, the key technologies of which including integrating framework and implementation approach of MIS, integrating framework of CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAE system and integration interface scheme between it and MIS, implementation approach of manufacturing automation system, etc. are discussed. As an application demonstration, the CIMS for a medium and small type company who produce spinning machines is accomplished with low investment during a short period, which has made notable achievement.
