Abstract: The security is the basis of e-commerce. The key technology of security is based on cryptography, such as X.509. But the key problem is that it cannot forecast the risk in the oncoming transaction because of the asynchronous information. Considering that the essence of reputation system is to forecast the risk according to your transaction history and that the anonymity cheat behavior in e-commerce can be kept away by the digital certification, so the idea of the combination of online reputation system and digital certification is proposed. The common goal of the reputation system and digital certification is to strengthen the security of network and to reduce the risk of e-commerce. So the reputation system is the important supplement to cryptography technology.
