Abstract: A new approach of self-reconfiguration for knowledgeable manufacturing system， which is based on knowledge web(KW) and Agent web (AW)， is proposed. Firstly，AW as well as its multi set definition is brought forward， and the union，intersection and minus operations of KW are defined. Accordingly the algorithms of KWs reconfiguration operations are studied based on multi set of KW. In the meantime， the preprocessing rules after the multi-set operations and mapping between multi-set and KW are explored. Finally the self-reconfiguration methods based on KW and AW are exemplified to introduce the self-reconfiguration of complicated system， which verify the validation of these methods.
