Abstract: To deal with material and contract tracking problem in long-term production of iron and steel enterprises, the material tracking model was proposed based on furnace number and production batch, which could distinguish the identical batch of material with same attributes. The contract-tracking model was constructed according to the corresponding relationship between production number and contract number. Based on the grouping of products with similar attributes, the material balance model depending on products partition was put forward. The material tracking management system was modeled by Unified Modeling Language (UML), and was developed based on Java 2 platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE). The implementation results in Liaoning Special Steel Group have shown the validity and feasibility of the system.
